Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant, unobtrusive Google ads on their website's content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your users are looking for on your site, you'll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages. Learn more about AdSense for content.
It's also a way for web site publishers to provide Google search to their site users, and to earn money by displaying Google ads on the search results pages. Find out more about AdSense for search.
The program is free, and combines pay-per-click and pay-per-impression advertising - meaning you get paid for valid clicks on the ads on your site or search results pages as well as impressions on your content pages. So go ahead and try this program. If you comply with our program policies, just complete our online application and select either or both of AdSense for content pages and AdSense for search. One application gets you approved for both AdSense and AdSense for search - you can decide to use any combination of these products on your pages.
We'll review your application and follow up with an email within 2-3 days. If you are accepted into the program, you can log in to your new account and get the HTML code to insert into your webpages.
Keep in mind that participation in AdSense requires you to have a website. If you don't have one, you can sign up for a free blog at www.blogger.com or create and publish useful, attractive webpages using Google Page Creator, at pages.google.com.

Simply put, we provide you with AdSense HTML ad code to place on the webpages on which you want to display Google ads. Then, we take care of the rest by leveraging proprietary Google search and page-ranking technologies to deliver relevant Google ads to those content pages.
We go beyond simple keyword matching to understand the context and content of webpages. Based on a sophisticated algorithm that includes such factors as keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web, we know what a page is about, and can precisely match Google ads to each page.
Google also offers site-targeted advertising options, allowing advertisers to select specific sites in the AdSense network on which to run their ads. These ads do not use keyword targeting, but rather leverage targeted audiences by allowing advertisers to hand pick their market.
Our technology can also determine the primary language of a page. If your content is in a language supported by our program, AdSense will target ads in the appropriate language to your content. In addition, Google ads are geotargeted to your visitor's location.

After you've been accepted into the program and have implemented the HTML ad code on your site, ads will start running within minutes. If your site is not yet in our index, it may take up to 48 hours or more before we are able to crawl your site. Until your site has been crawled, we may display public service ads, for which you will not receive earnings.
Your ad relevancy should increase over time. However, keep in mind that if you make changes to a page, it may be 1 or 2 weeks before our crawler captures the changes and updates our index to provide more relevant ads.
Adding the AdSense for search code to your pages will instantly generate an AdSense for search box. As search results are displayed on Google-hosted pages, relevant ads will appear immediately, if ads are available for the particular query.

Can I filter the ads that are displayed on my site?
Yes. To create and manage a filter list of websites whose ads you'd like to restrict from showing on your site or AdSense for search results pages, simply log in to your account at https://www.google.com/adsense and click the Competitive Ad Filter link below the AdSense Setup tab. You can create separate filter lists for your content pages and for your AdSense for search results pages. Ads for the websites that you add to your competitive ad filter list typically will not run on your pages, but remember that filtering sites may decrease the number of ads that can appear on your pages as well as decrease your potential earnings.
For more details on using your competitive ad filter, please read the Filtering Ads section of this FAQ.
We also combine an editorial team and filtering technology to maximize the quality of the Google ads on Google and publisher sites:
*
Review: Across the Google network, ads are reviewed using a combination of human and automated processes before they are shown on publishers' sites. The review process takes into account a variety of factors, including the quality of the ad and whether the ad is suitable for all audiences.
*
Sensitive content filters: At times, certain ads may not be appropriate to run on all pages. For example, Google automatically filters out ads that would be inappropriate on a news page about a catastrophic event.
Please note that Google does not commit that all ads for the websites that you add to your competitive ad filter list or ads containing objectionable content will be prevented from display on your site.

How do I generate earnings?
There are many ways to earn revenue with Google AdSense: AdSense for content, AdSense for search, and referrals.
With AdSense for content, you'll display Google ads on your site. These ads can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-thousand-impression (CPM) ads. For CPC ads, you'll generate earnings when your users click on the ads. For CPM ads, you'll generate earnings in your account every time the ad appears on your site.

How much will I earn through this program?
The Google ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads, while AdSense for search results pages show exclusively CPC ads. This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser's ad is shown on your site. You'll receive a portion of the amount paid for either activity on your website. Although we don't disclose the exact revenue share, our goal is to enable publishers to make as much or more than they could with other advertising networks.
The best way to find out how much you'll earn is to sign up and start showing ads on your webpages. There's no cost, no obligation, and getting started is quick and easy. You can sign up now from the AdSense home page at https://www.google.com/adsense .
Once you're a part of Google AdSense, you can view your earnings at any time by logging in to your account at https://www.google.com/adsense and clicking the Reports tab. You'll be able to see the total number of page and ad unit impressions, ad clicks, clickthrough rate, effective CPM, and your total earnings so you can get an idea of how well the program is performing for you and how much you can expect to earn over time in the program.
You can also find more information about our payment schedule in our Payments Guide.
